Distal core designed for kink resistance that facilitates treatment of multiple lesions and tortuous vessels. Combined with a supportive PTFE-coated stainless steel proximal shaft.

HI-TORQUE BALANCE® Guide Wire Design: Combines ELASTINITE® Material and Stainless Steel
A supportive, PTFE-coated, stainless steel proximal shaft adds the body needed to push the wire. The combination of a stainless steel proximal shaft with the shape-resistant ELASTINITE® material distal core gives the HI-TORQUE Balance Middleweight UNIVERSAL™ Guide Wire the ability to retain excellent torque transmission in tortuosity providing excellent steering.

Enhanced Device Compatibility

The coils of the working area of the guide wire have been replaced by a polymer cover in order to enhance device compatibility. The distal segment of the wire has an outer diameter of .0135".

The 15-mm gap between the marker and the tip coils can assist physicians in determining lesion length.
Excellent Distal Access
The combination of a polymer cover over the intermediate section of the wire and hydrocoat hydrophilic coating on a durable ELASTINITE® material core and a pushable stainless steel proximal shaft provide excellent distal access.
